What Shapes My Practice
Neuroscience helps us understand that our brains are constantly organizing experiences into familiar patterns that allow us to move through life efficiently. Much of this happens outside of our awareness. Therapy gently interrupts those automatic ways of navigating our world, giving us the opportunity to notice, question, and explore another way. With repetition, what once required conscious effort gradually becomes more natural.
If you’re wanting to engage more deeply with your own life, our work together is a great support system.
The stories we tell ourselves, the memories we hold, and the ways we make sense of our lives are deeply personal. I take the responsibility of being invited into those spaces seriously. I will never know your experience better than you do. My role is not to tell you who you are or what your life means, but to help create the conditions where your own understanding and choice are present. Together, we will explore what has shaped you, what is asking for your attention now, and what might become possible next.
My work is informed by many influences, and I’m always looking to grow and update my own working definitions of therapy. What has been deeply resonant for me is Narrative Therapy and social constructionist philosophy, collaborative-dialogic practices, psychedelic work, and my own ongoing curiosity about what it means to heal. I’m also deeply shaped by the mentors, teachers, colleagues, and clients I’ve had the privilege of learning with and from.
As someone who identifies strongly with my Aquarius Midheaven and Uranus in the 10th house (for those who speak astrology), I’m almost always questioning the status quo.
