I’m Glad You’re Here
A living archive.
This podcast began as a place for conversations about spirituality, psychology, and, really, what it means to heal.
At the time, I was beginning to see therapy clients during my practicum year of training, and I yearned for nourishing conversations with healers and practitioners, both within and beyond the field of therapy. I wanted to learn how they understood healing, and how their particular arts and practices could facilitate meaningful change.
My training in therapy didn't always give me a framework for engaging with the tenderness of the soul, the ancestral wisdom we carry, or subtle energy work, to name a few. This podcast became a place where I could stay open to those curiosities while remaining in integrity with the field I was being trained in.
Although I’m not currently recording episodes regularly, I want to honor this body of work and the version of me who made it, along with all the guests who showed up and shared their wisdom. It’s taken me some time to feel comfortable sharing these conversations more publicly again. Recording a conversation is a fascinating attempt to preserve and share something that was co-created in a particular moment. I thought for some time that returning meant picking the podcast back up. For now, I see that returning can mean revisiting, turning these conversations over again and leaving my new impressions as I do.
So rather than letting this become a static archive, I’ll be returning to these episodes and leaving notes from the person I’ve become since.
Think of them as love notes sent with time.
Our societal conversations around grief remind me of how we’ve been talking about trauma. I’m glad we’re making space for such a unique experience that we all experience. Tune in for a vibrant conversation on grief with specialist Ashley Nelson.
